RABAT, April 7 (KUNA) -- Moroccan female Parliamentary Member Zahra Al-Kashaf on Friday praised the Kuwaiti women's political and democratic experience through participation in elections.
Al-Kashaf, who is also president of the Women Action Union and member of the Royal Consultative Council for Desert Affairs, said Kuwaiti women should feel proud for the status they achieved and the democratic freedom they enjoy, considering it a positive shift on the Kuwaiti political arena.
She praised the Kuwaiti Minister of Planning and Minister of State for Administrative Development Affairs Maasouma Al-Mubarak as an Arab woman concerned for women's participation in political affairs.
She demanded support for the women's political parties and the removal of legal issues hindering women's participation in political and legislative affairs.
She also touched on bilateral relationships between Kuwait and Moroccan women, noting that challenges facing Arab women are multiple and various due to common challenges facing the Arab world in general.
Al-Kashaf welcomed cooperation and coordination with Kuwaiti women in the political and parliamentary fields, noting that such cooperation would improve bilateral relationships and exchange of experiences at all levels.
