Article (1) sets out fees for selling copies of reports and films provided by Ministry of Energy
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has issued Cabinet decision No. 7 of 2013 concerning the sales of reports and geological and geophysical maps.
Article (1) of the decision sets out the fees for selling copies of reports and films provided by the Ministry of Energy.
The price for selling copies of reports and maps of Areial Magnetic Survey of the state's land is set out at Dh70,000; reports and maps of Seismic Survey of the Eastern Region of the emirate of Abu Dhabi is Dh50,000, and a DVD film about the geology of the UAE is Dh500.
Article (2) of the decision also determine the price of selling hard and soft copies of the Geological and Geophysical volume studies of the UAE as follows:
Volume 1: Executive Summary is priced at Dh300 for the hard copy and Dh600 for the soft copy;
Volume 2: Geology is Dh1,200 for the hard copy and Dh2,400 for the soft copy;
Volume 3: Economic Geology is Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1,000 for the soft copy;
Volume 4: Geological Hazards is Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1000 for the soft copy;
Volume 5: Appendices is Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1000 for the soft copy;
Volume 6: Geology of Western and Central United Arab Emirates is Dh1500 for the hard copy and Dh3000 for the soft copy;
Volume 7: Geology of the salt domes of the United Arab Emirates is Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1000 for the soft copy;
Volume 8: Assessment of Platinum Group Elements is Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1000 for the soft copy;
Volume 9: Hard rock resources for Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1000 for the soft copy;
Volume 10: Limestone is for Dh500 for the soft copy and Dh1000 for the soft copy;
Volume 11: Decorative stone is for Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1000 for the soft copy;
Volume 12: Executive Summary for Dh300 for the hard copy and Dh600 for the soft copy;
A 3D superficial and bedrock geological model of the Abu Dhabi urban area for Dh1500 for the soft copy and Dh3000 for the hard copy
Aeromagnetic anomalies and crustal structure in an area of the foreland basin for Dh500 for the hard copy and 1000 for the soft copy;
The depositional and tectonic evolution of the southern margin of the neotethys ocean is for Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1000 for the soft copy; and
The Geologyand Geophysics of the UAE is for Dh500 for the hard copy and Dh1,000 for the soft copy.
Article (3) of the decision also sets out the fees of selling the geological maps of different scales, as the Geological map of scale 1:25,000 is priced Dh200 for a hard copy without the explanation booklet and at Dh300 with the explanation booklet; whereas the soft copy of the same is at Dh1,000, including the explanation booklet.
The decision stipulates that articles 1, 2 and 3 stated earlier do not included the expenses of packaging, shipping and custom. The aforementioned fees to be paid via the channels set out by the Ministry of Finance. The decision annuls any other rule that conflicts with the provisions set out herein.
The decision published in the official gazette is effective from its date of issuance, 1st June 2013.
