Dubai, Dec. 2, 05 (WAM)--General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defence Minister, received here Friday Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Governorof the Asir Region in Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Arab IntellectualForum.
Sheikh Mohammed and Prince Khalid exchanged views ona number of cultural and intellectual issues that contributein promoting the level of cultural and intellectual standardamong the Arab circles.
Prince Khalid lauded the progress made by the UAE in allwalks of life, especially investment in human resources and incultural, technological and educational sectors.
Prince Khalid will take part in the activities of theInternational Arab Media Conference hosted by Dubai in his capacity as the chairman of the Arab Intellectual Forum.
Sheikh Mohammed also received Saad Al Hariri, Head ofthe Future Bloc in the Lebanese Parliament.
Sheikh Mohammed and Al Hariri talks concentrated on thelatest developments in the Lebanese arena and latest outcomeof the international investigation into the assassination ofthe late Rafiq Al Hariri.
Later, Sheikh Mohammed received DaimlerChrysler CEO Prof.
Jurgen E. Schrempp, who discussed with him the new partnershipbetween Dubai Holding Company and DaimlerChrysler.The meetings were attended by a number of officials.
