Baghdad - The Iraqi Ministry of Trade on Thursday said that it approved the establishment of several up-to-the-minute grain mills all over the country.

"The decision will create competition among mills, encouraging them to produce wheat flour of better qualities...," according to a ministerial statement received by Aswat al-Iraq, quoting the director of the Seeds Manufacturing Company as saying.

Specialist technical teams have been set up for the purpose of monitoring all state-run mills, which produce flour that is designed to be distributed through ration cards.
