Maritronics, which deals in marine services, is setting up two companies affiliated to the organisation and which will be based in the Jebel Ali Free Zone.

"Maritronics' launch of two companies in JAFZA is evidence of the free zone's success in attracting international pioneer companies due to its strategic location as an economic and commercial hub and its location near Dubai Ports Authority," said Jamal Majid bin Thaniah, chief executive of the Dubai Ports Authority at Ports Customs and Free Zone Corp.

Maritronics provides integrated technology solutions, focusing on fundamental to advanced electrical and electronic systems engineered for automation, control instrumentation, analytical instrumentation, navigation, communication and software systems.

"Maritronics the parent company will now focus on servicing and solutions development, while the sales operations will be handled by the two new companies launched now: Emphor Fzco and Tensosys Fzco," said Vidya Sagar, managing director of Maritronics.

Maritronics started in 1980 as a marine service company. Over the years the company grew into a well-diversified group with three core business lines marine, industrial electronics and life and analytical sciences.
