MUSCAT -- The Ministry of Manpower recently awarded Oman Air with a commemorative plaque in recognition of its Omanisation efforts in an event that was held under the aegis of Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Industry, at Al Bustan Palace Hotel. Zahran al Hinai (pictured), Human Resources Manager, received the award on behalf of Oman Air. Al Hinai expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Manpower for assisting Oman Air on their Omanisation efforts and said that this award is yet another acknowledgment by the Ministry of Manpower of the Company's Omanisation policies.
Al Hinai added: "Oman Air management has implemented many strategies to attract more qualified Omani cadres to join the company and created very attractive career plans to develop its staff and to update their knowledge to cope with the changing business environment. Our management is proud to see Omani cadres holding very senior positions in the company in different divisions and departments."
Oman Air's Corporate Communications and Media (CC&M) Department noted that the carrier has a front-runner in adopting Omanisation policies to be implemented in line with His Majesty's vision on empowering Omani youth. "With the Company marked for expansion, there have arisen vacancies across various departments and spanning different operations. As the national carrier of Oman and with the support of the government, Oman Air has high plans in this regard that will fructify with the expansion plans," an official stated. The aviation industry, the official added, offers some of the most challenging jobs. Moreover, Omanis employed with Oman Air in many key positions have proven their mettle by rising up to these challenges.
