Sharjah: A young man has been seriously injured following a knife fighting over a dispute on drugs, an official at Sharjah police told Gulf News.
The incident, latest in a series of clashes between between young men aged between 20 to 30 years, took place in Al Raqa area of Sharjah on Friday night at around 12 pm.
The injured, who was identified H.M.,25, suffered a severe injury to his left hand and leg and was admitted to Al Qassimi Hospital.
Police and paramedics moved to the scene of the incident after the police operations room was alerted about the incident. Police investigation revealed that the fighting was over dispute on drug.
H.M. told the police that he was with his “group” and suddenly a war of words broke out between them, which ended in knife fighting.
All the suspects involved in the fighting belong to Comoros nationality and they were taken to police custody to be questioned. Al Hera Police station launched an investigation into the incident .
