Dubai: Police say an Egyptian man was found under the influence of alcohol and drugs in the toilet in Dubai Mall.
Police said the man was arrested at 7pm on Tuesday after receiving a report about a man in his early 30s who was allegedly under the influence of mind-altering substances.
Police said that the man was followed on closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV) until he went inside the restroom facilities inside the mall.
“We followed the suspect after we monitored him by cameras inside the mall,” police told Gulf News.
Police did not release the name of the suspect or any other details about him.
An eyewitness said that he saw the accused and he looked intoxicated.
“I saw the suspect with a small suitcase and police asked the man what was inside the bag,” the witness said.
The witness said that he heard the suspect telling police that he would open the bag later.
