State-owned air carriers Afriqiyah Airways and Libyan Airlines expect to receive government approval to merge by October 15th, international press reported on Monday (September 20th).
According to Libyan African Aviation Holding Company (LAAHC) Chairman Sabri Shadi, the two carriers also plan to spend 4 billion euros on new aircraft by the end of 2012.
