Abu Dhabi, Nov 26th, 2007 (WAM) -- Major General Khaleel Daoud Badran, Director General of the Financial services and Administration and the Chairman of the Golden Jubilee Organizing Committee, unveiled the worlds biggest map of the UAE made up of half million finger prints, as a sign to honour the services of Abu Dhabi Police, on the eve of its Golden jubilee celebrations that commence on the 5th of next month.

The map was created in coordination with Abu Dhabi Police Watani, a social development program, and my home land my security campaign.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Ahmed Obaid Al Mansoori, coordinator general of Watani program, Brigadier Ahmed Saeed Al Mahri, Colonel Mohammed Saleh Badda, Major Nasser Al Khabi among others. A large crowed was also in attendance.

The making of the map was a part of Abu Dhabi Police ongoing drive to cement partnership between communities and the police and was organized throughout November across the capital.

Individual finger prints of senior government officials and members of the public were collected through schools,universities and shopping malls throughout the city and combined by Watani to create the map from finger prints of half million persons.
