BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--A Kuwaiti parliamentary panel unanimously approved Wednesday the single currency agreement signed between the Gulf Cooperation Council, or GCC, states, Kuwait-based Al Seyassah daily reports Thursday.
The paper cites Yusuf Al Zalzalah, head of the panel, made up of members of the finance and economic affairs committee, and the foreign affairs committee, as saying that it was necessary to approve the single currency agreement as is and that the government should prepare a draft law in this regard.
Kuwait's parliament is likely to approve the single currency agreement next Tuesday, the daily reports, citing Massouma Al Mubarak, a member of the joint panel.
