KUWAIT, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Abdullah Al-Maatouq said here on Tuesday that the promising Islamic economy that relies on Islamic principles was booming and plays a big role in increasing revenues of the society.
In a speech delivered on his behalf by Awqaf Undersecretary Dr. Adel Al-Falah in a ceremony of launching an experimental operation of Zamzam Tower, Al-Maatouq said that the Islamic economy approach has been engraved in the minds of a big number of donating investors and ordinary people as well.
He added the naming of Zamzam Tower was a great idea as the project's name was linked to the holiest water on earth (Zamzam), praising Munshaat Company for Real Estate Projects for promoting the idea of this project.
The minister pointed out that the company has also succeeded in offering the best and highly sophisticated hotel services for pilgrims.
On his part, Professor of Islamic studies at Kuwait University Dr. Abdelaziz Al-Qassar said the idea of Islamic investment lies in the people's participation economically and socially in mobilizing their savings into Islamic-related projects.
He added that the Islamic projects are characterized by the latest technologies making them distinguished among others.
