TUNIS -- Kuwait Minister of Finance Mustafa Al-Shimali said Monday the visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Tunisia was "particularly important" due to the solid relations between the two countries.

Speaking to KUNA, Al-Shimali said the visit aimed at further cementing bilateral relations and cooperation in all domains.

Kuwait is exploring many investment projects in Tunisia, he added.

"Tunisia is an important Arab-Afro country specially in investment domain, and there are a number of Kuwaiti projects at the touristic and industrial levels," said Al-Shimali, citing the opening of Movenpick Hotel Gammarth.

Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah arrived here earlier today, the first leg of a tour that will take him to Algeria, Mauritania and Morocco.
