ERBIL - Banks in the Kurdistan Region are on holiday today due to inventory accounting procedures, said the general director of banks in the region.
Adham Karim Darwesh added: "Banks in Iraq have two days for accounting transactions and money. One on January 2 and the second is on July 1, on which the transactions of the past six months should be accounted."
Darwesh added that during these two days bank staff members only perform accounting duties and citizens' applications are not dealt with.
