Manama, Aug. 8, 2009 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has offered condolences of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates and his personal condolences to the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, on the death of his mother, Shaikha Hissa bint Salman Al-Khalifa.

The Bahraini monarch expressed profound gratitude for the noble feeling which, he said, reflects the deeply rooted fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples. He also conveyed through Sheikh Mohammed message of greetings and gratitude to Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and the Rulers of the Emirates and prayed to Allah to grant them good health and happiness.

Sheikh Mohammed is being accompanied on the trip by the Crown Prince of Fujairah, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, Crown Prince of Umm Al-Qaiwain, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al-Mualla, Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Public Works Minister, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and other UAE officials.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince arrived here at the Bahrain International Airport earlier today and was received on arrival by Bahraini Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa has received at the Al-Zahir Palace today Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who offered condolences to King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and other members of the Royal Family on the death of Shaikha Hissa bint Salman Al-Khalifa.
