Seoul - His Majesty King Abdullah II arrives in Seoul on a visit to South Korea during which he will take part in the second Nuclear Security Summit to be held March 26 -27 in the presence of several world leaders.

His Majesty, who is accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, is also expected to hold talks with Korean President Lee Myung-bak on means of forging closer cooperation in various fields as well as a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The King will also meet heads of the participating delegations in the summit, which will tackle international issues and challenges and make a comprehensive review of progress that have been achieved since the 2010 Washington Summit which was attended by King Abdullah.

The King's participation in the Seoul Summit reflects Jordan's commitment to nuclear security and comes within Jordan's intensive efforts and quest to implement a peaceful nuclear program to secure alternative energy resources and develop traditional local energy resources to reduce reliance on energy imports.
