JEDDAH - Saudi-based Gap Corporation (Gapcorp), described regionally as the largest international and local extended warranty provider, on Wednesday signed an agreement with Kia Motors Saudi Arabia to provide extended warranty to all cars sold locally.
Kia Motors also launched its new Carens, described as the power to surprise, at its showroom here later in the night.
"Today marks another important milestone in the six-year history of our company," Nasser Watar, chairman and CEO of Gapcorp, told reporters. "This agreement signifies our commitment to our current clients and further establishes our presence in every major market in the world. We have access to some of the fastest growing markets in the world and the ability to provide world-class services to our clients," he added.
"Our reinsurance panel has increased to new levels and we are recognized in the reinsurance world as a world-class administrator. There is a need to ensure that such products and services are backed by international players who are able to provide credible and continuous support in the local markets. Being a global player and at the same time local, we are able to cater and address the need of our customer's extended warranty solutions closely and from within the understanding of the local market," he said.
Gapcorp also launched its finance and insurance scheme, a mechanism that provides auto dealers with a platform to manage their finance and insurance departments. The scheme aims to increase bottom line income to the dealer, improve retention and to provide customers with a one-stop shop for all their automotive needs.
