The much-awaited Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is fast nearing completion, according to Dubai Properties, its developer.

The project plans to open its door to 25,000 tenants by the end of this year.

Hashim Al Dabal, the CEO of Dubai Properties, said: "The entire JBR project will be ready by the end of this year, and will reflect international standards in construc tion, including exterior and interior design." The sprawling 1.7km waterfront district is the largest single phase residential development in the world.

It includes 36 high-rise towers above a three to four level podium structure with four hotels; the largest district cooling plant outside of the United States; bridges and extensive infrastructure works.

Combining the styles of Mediterranean and Arabian architecture, JBR's luxury freehold apartments comprise a range of premium penthous es, terrace apartments, duplex, garden apartments, loft apartments, studio apartments, one, two, three, and four bedroom apartments providing different views of the Arabian Gulf, landscaped inner courtyards, or the towers of the Dubai Marina.
