AMMAN -- The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) will extend a JD250,000 soft loan to the Ruwwad Corporation for Islamic Microfinance under an agreement signed between the two parties on Wednesday. The loan, which will go to support the corporation's programmes and train unemployed citizens in Aqaba, Karak, Maan and Tafileh, is part of the company's social corporate responsibility efforts, according to JPMC Chief Executive Director Imad Madadha. Established in 2011 by the General Union of Voluntary Society, the Ruwwad corporation is a non-profit entity that seeks to develop small businesses in poverty pocket areas according to Sharia law.
