The mediaME Forum-2010, the first Levant digital media event, was held in Amman on November 7-8. The event brought together clients and advertising professionals from Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Iraq to meet, gain knowledge and discuss the digital media future of the region. The event delivered quality content, with 29 speakers and panelists from across the region, each tackling a specialized field, presenting the latest facts, figures and trends.
Topics covered included Arab Internet users' habits, audience segm?nts and content preferences, digital media buying strategies for clients and advertising agencies, search engine optimisation and marketing strategies among other issues. Zeid Nasser, the organiser and founder of mediaME.com, said: "We are proud to play a role in activating the digital media market in Levant countries, and bringing together all these traditional and digital media professionals. The Middle East is now experiencing the start of a digital revolution and we believe the Levant should play a ke? role, specifically due to its proven success in Arabic content creation. Local and regional advertising budgets must follow and, with everyone's concentrated efforts, they will."
