AMMAN -- The 2nd Jordanian International Machines and Electro-Mechanical Equipment Exhibition will start June 14 showcasing the latest technology in the engineering field.
"The exhibition will introduce engineers and local companies to the latest developments in terms of devices and engineering technology, especially since internationally renowned companies are taking part," Golden Gate General Manager Suad Jaghub told The Jordan Times yesterday.
Participating countries include: ARCOMA from Saudi Arabia, S.E.T.I Jordan Ltd., JUANA Trading Establishment from Jordan, Cummins Power Generation from the US, SPIG.S.P.A Cooling Towers from Italy, LEEBRAT Group Nigeria Limited, among others.
The event also seeks to pave the way for expertise exchange and future cooperation between attendees and participating countries, Jaghub said.
The exhibition, organised by the Jordan Engineers Association in cooperation with the Golden Gate, will take place at the Amman International Exhibition Hall -- Marj Al Hamam -- and will run until June 18.
A website, accessible at www.jordan-fairs.com, has been set up to provide visitors and those wishing to take part with an opportunity to get acquainted with companies represented and the fair's topics.
Topics covered at the event include: Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, compressors, pumps and fans for all applications, drilling machines and accessories, lathe, cutting, tending, packaging and welding machines, water treatment systems, lubrication and industrial oil, mechanical construction, among others, according to the website.
The exhibition will be held under the patronage of Prime Minister Adnan Badran.
