Abu Dhabi: Jesvin Jeyapaul Raj starred in Abu Dhabi Indian School's win in the inaugural match of the Abu Dhabi Model School's 4th Inter-School Basketball (under-13) tournament for boys at its Mussaffa campus on Monday.
Abu Dhabi Indian School defeated Islamia English School, Abu Dhabi, 23-8.
Jeyapaul Raj top-scored for Abu Dhabi Indian School with 13 points, while Mohammad Ghaus excelled for Islamia English School, Abu Dhabi, with 6 points.
In the second match, Emirates National School, Sharjah, proved too good for the B team from hosts Model School.
The Sharjah school won 31-9 with Vignesh Ranganath scoring 10 points.
The event was inaugurated by Unni Parayarth, managing director of My Campus, Abu Dhabi, and Abdul Kadar, principal of Model School.
Millennium School, Dubai, take on Al Tawan School, Abu Dhabi, The Model School A team from Abu Dhabi meet Islamia English School, Abu Dhabi, Westminster School, Dubai, clash with The Model School B team, Abu Dhabi, while Model School A meet Abu Dhabi Indian School in the next set of matches.
