RIYADH: Jarir Bookstore opened its new showroom in Hofuf in Al-Ahsa district recently, taking the total number of the company's showrooms to 29 in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries.
Jarir Marketing Company CEO Abdulkareem Al-Agil, said: "The space of the new showroom is more than 4,000 sq m, and will aim to provide Jarir's unique products and services to our valued customers."
Al Agil said the new showroom has many elements to make it a success, including its location, design and bigger space that can provide an "excellent shopping experience" to the people of Al Ahsa and the neighboring areas.
The showroom will play a major role in increasing the turnover and profit of the company, starting from the third quarter of 2011, he added.
The company has invested more than SR10 million in the new showroom.
It includes more than 70,000 different items of office and school supplies and more than 30,000 titles of Arabic and English books, in addition to a huge number of arts and engineering materials.
"Be the first to get the latest technologies" was the slogan that Jarir took into consideration and allotted special sections to personal computers (PCs), laptops, tablet PCs, computer programs and peripherals with added attractions like smart phones and electronic games, all latest technologies from the best international brands at competitive prices.
Jarir bookstore is planning to open two additional showrooms, in Makkah and Yanbu, which will take its showroom total to 31 by the end of year 2011.
