ARBI: The Japanese investment group KPT is getting ready to launch several projects in the Iraqi Kurdistan region in March 2010, the group's Iraq branch director said on Friday.

"The group, thoroughly studying investment opportunities, has sent a delegation of investors and an energy scientist to Iraqi Kurdistan to meet with representatives of ministries and organizations in the region," Omar al-Ajli told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"Some firms are now about to embark on building a mineral water plant, another for juices in addition to two cement and glass plants," Ajli added.

A delegation from the KPT group, which encompasses more than 500 companies in the different fields, is currently on a visit to the semi-autonomous region to discuss investments there.
