Doha: Combined Group Company for Trading and Contracting (CGC) had successfully attained the prestigious award for International Quality Certificate ISO 9001-2008 conducted by an accredited assessment body, Bureau Veritas, and proudly passed from the first audit.
This achievement wouldn't be possible without the commitment of the company staff in the implementation of Quality Management Systems, administrative and operational procedures from different sectors of the company and application of all documented procedures in line with international standards, a press release issued by the company said.
Eng Samer Al Ani, General Manager of CGC, said that the award of this certificate was in line with the Fifth Year Anniversary of the establishment of the company and start of operations in Qatar.
The company relied on its own competencies without seeking assistance from outside expertise.
He pointed out that the granting of this certificate was achieved out of neutral and credible judgment of a trusted name in a quality assessment within the industry and proves that CGC adhered to its ongoing commitment on applying the best practices to implement the quality management procedures as a major factor required for the maintenance and expansion of customer base.
He stressed that Combined Group Company for Trading and Contracting began its operations in Qatar five years ago and has been one of the effective contributors in the development of infrastructure and modernization in the State of Qatar by means of implementing numerous projects in the fields of roads, building construction, micro-tunnelling, infrastructure and the production of various types of asphalt pavement.
The company operates an asphalt plant producing various types of asphalt mixtures. The asphalt production capacity is estimated at 220 tonnes per hour in accordance to the specifications approved in the State of Qatar, taking into considerations the safety, health and environment standards as priority and by the use of an advanced system for air filtration and removal of contaminants.
The total value of projects being executed by the company is approximately QR1.841bn, the latest of which are the " Construction of Five Schools Around Doha & In Villages" and the "Infrastructure Development Works in North Residential Area and West Water Front Villas Project in Lusail" . We are expecting to announce more projects in the near future, if God wills.
