Bandar Abbas - Chinese, Sri Lankan, and Singaporese inspectors from International Sailing Federation (ISAF) are commissioned to evaluate sailing and environment protection indexes at Iran's Martyr Raja'ie Port in accordance with international standards. According to the IRNA reporter here, the Managing Director of Hormozgan Province Ports and Sailing Organization Ali-Akbar Safa'ie announced the news at a press conference here Monday evening, adding, "The auditing process would begin voluntarily as of tomorrow (Tuesday) for the second time at Martyr Raja'ie Port Complex of Hormozgan Province."

According to the IRNA correspondent, Safa'ie pointed out that his affiliated organization had already declared its readiness for this auditing process, reiterating, "The auditing would be conducted in the presence of three Chinese, Sri Lankan, and Singaporese sailing inspectors within six working days based on entire related international standards.

He said, "The results of this inspection would be reported to the International Sailing Federation (ISAF)," adding, "ISAF, as the highest sailing organization in the world, declares necessities in the framework of protocols and conventions to the member countries, and considers those necessities as measurement sticks for improvement of the international sailing standards."

He meanwhile considered such inspections useful and effective in improvement of sailing safety.
The Iranian official also announced that Iran has thus far become member of 27 international naval conventions and adopted effective measures in satisfactory implementation of those conventions.
