BASRA: South Oil Company announced achieving an increase in production by 20%, in comparison with the 2011 figures.

The increase reached to 2.4 million barrels in the first quarter of this year, 2013.

Director general Dhia Jaffar, in a press conference, attended by Aswat al-Iraq, said that the increase was 20% in comparison to 2011 production.

As for the first quarter of this year, he added that the increase in production reached to 2.4 million b/d, out of which 2.18 b/d are exported.

He pointed out that the storage capacity reached from 5.25 million to 6.4 million, pointing that the export capacities depend on the climate, maintenance and electrical problems.
