Energy Minister Parviz Fattah in a meeting with Senegalese Ambassador to Tehran referred to good ties and cooperation between 2 countries, saying Iran intends to develop broader relations with Senegal.
Referring to the strategic position of Senegal in west Africa, the minister expressed Iran's readiness to assist Senegal in the field of training technicians.
Fattah also referred to the power transfer line project Toben-Toba-Kaolak, inaugurated in Senegal recently, as an important energy project completed relying on Iranian technicians'
cooperation.
The ambassador said "Power production has increased in Senegal since the new president took office, adding, "Senegal has always desired to expand cooperation with Iran, especially in the field of electricity industry."
Al-Haji Alion Sambawi also asked for Iran's assistance to execute a project for producing low consumption light bulbs in Senegal.
