Iranian ambassador to Tajikistan said economic, cultural, industrial and scientific cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan will expand more.
Ali Asghar Sherdoust told reporters here Monday, at the 7th meeting of joint economic and cultural commission in Tehran last week, an important document containing all former agreements was signed which has underlined expansion of cooperation in all fields between the two countries.
He stressed, "Upon the agreement Iran will participate in executing projects such as dam construction, road building, electricity transmission line, small and large power plants, cement factory, mines, spinning, shoes factory, construction materials, paints, detergents and pharmacology."
In this direction Tajik officials will announce their priorities to the Iranian investors, the ambassador continued.
Concerning guarantees on security of investment of the private sectors in both countries, the joint commission discussed the issue and the Tajik side accepted to remove existing obstacles in this concern, Sherdoust added.
According to the agreements, 2,000 Samand vehicles will be exported from Iran to Tajikistan and the Iranian car manufacturing company "Irankhodro" will consider commissioning production line of the car in Tajikistan.
He said establishment of joint factories, creation of Iranian trade center in Dushanbe, construction of residential complex by Iranian companies, tax exemption for machineries exported from Iran to be used in constructing factories in Tajikistan, participation in international exhibitions convened in either country and exchanging trade delegations were among the agreements.
In the fields of cultural and scientific cooperation, important agreements were reached in the commission such as establishment of Iran's cultural bureau in Khojand and Tajikistan cultural bureau in Tehran, creation of student scholarship between the two countries, cooperation in the field of promotion of the Persian language, and expansion in the field of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts.
He concluded, "Currently bilateral relations between Iran and Tajikistan is in an excellent level and there are no obstacles in the way of development of ties."
