Iranian roads and rural development minister and visiting Kazakh minister of investments and development here Sunday evening agreed on Irans readiness for activation of Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan railway and emphasized need for doing so.
In the meeting on the sidelines of the 13th Joint Commission of Iran-Kazakhstan Economic Cooperation the Iranian Roads and Rural Development Minister Abbas Akhoundzadeh also emphasized that taking full advantage of the capacities of the Almaty-Bandar Abbas and the Almaty-Istanbul railways and activation of the combination transportation route through the Caspian Sea between the two countries will boost the bilateral cooperation.
Holding the two countries joint economic commission, whose sponsorship has recently been given to the Roads and Rural Development Ministry is a positive move with a bright future perspective that is promising for the expansion of bilateral cooperation in economic, trade, transportations, technical and engineering fields, said Akhoundzadeh in his meeting with the Kazakh Minister Asset Issekeshev.
The Kazakh investments and development minister, too, for his part said that in order to expand the economic relations between the two countries cooperation in various transportation fields is necessary and signing of agreements for elimination of the obstacles in the way for the two countries companies activities is therefore necessary.
I am ready to sign another economic letter of understanding besides the document of the 13th Joint Economic Commission, based on which we will survey the demands for buying Iranian goods in Kazakhstan, and for selling some products of our country in Iran, said Minister Asset Issekeshev.
The 13th Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Kazakhstan started on Sunday morning at the Iranian Roads and Rural Development Ministry and will end on Monday evening by signing of the document of the commission by the two heads of the joint commission.
