Vienna, Jan 24, IRNA - Islamic Republic of Iran's active presence at annual Slovakia Tourism Exhibition, which has been held at permanent fairs ground of Slovakia's capital city, Bratislava, was noticeable this year.

According to an IRNA reporter, the section on Iran's tourism attractions features film and slid projections, and a photo exhibition with amateur and professional photographers' sub-sections.

Slovakia Affairs official at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vienna, Ali Amiri, attended the opening ceremony at Iran's booth at the fair, gave a lecture, and presented awards to the prize winner photographers at 2012 Slovakia Photo Contest on behalf of the Iranian Embassy.

The Iranian tourism attractions were put on display in a 60 minute video film accompanied with live narration for the visitors, including the special guess of tourism agencies, and some guests from Slovakia's state sector and some other European countries.

Simultaneously, there was an exhibition of paintings on beautiful Iranian landscapes at and adjacent hall, which attracted the broad attention of the fair's visitors.

Emphasis on prevailing security in Iranian societies for the tourists and the cultural lenience of the Iranians, as well as the healthy food diets in the Iranian culture and the well clad and hospitable Iranian nation, as interesting points for the potential tourists of this ancient land.

At the end of the opening ceremony, too, upon an invitation by the Iranian envoy, Ali Amiri, a lot drawing for choosing the best Slovakian tourist of the year 2011 was held.

Due to its historical background and sustainable social and cultural evolution, Iran has lots of diverse, worth seeing sites that can beyond doubt satisfy tourists with different tastes. Every tourist, whatever their incentives, may find many spectacular places depending on their tastes. It should not be forgotten that the best way for the recognition of every country is direct contact with its people.

The ancient Iranian culture, which is reflected in historical and architectural heritage, has brought about many sites worth seeing. The culture of today's Iran is a perfect aggregate of near and far past of this territory and everybody can satisfy intellectual and aesthetic needs according to their tastes through visiting this wide and richly cultural country. The existing historical monuments in Persepolis, Passargadae, Susa (Shoosh), Hamadan, Kermanshah, Firooz Abad, Syraf and many other ancient sites of the Iranian civilization are sufficient incentives for visiting this marvelous land.

The natural environment of Iran, with more than 2,800 kilometers of coastline and water borders as well as the high mountains of Alborz and Zagross, supplies high recreational and tourism potentials. The shores of the Caspian Sea in the north and the coasts of the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman in the south are suitable places as recreational resort in summer and winter.

The islands of the Persian Gulf, including Kish, Qeshm, and Hormoz have suitable shores and beaches as well as pleasant sunshine that may be used for vacationers even during winter times. There are daily and regular flights to that region from several parts of the country as well as suitable accommodation facilities. Moreover, those islands are easily accessible through waterways by different types of ships and boats as well as by airplanes.

The mountains and mountain slopes in Iran, along with economic value for nomads for grazing of their sheep, serves as summer residence of urban dwellers as well as suitable places for winter and mountain sports.
