TEHRAN (MNA) -- In the fourth month of the current Iranian calendar year of 1383 (June 21-July 20), the state-run Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex (BIPC) produced 556 tons of petrochemicals, which shows a 15 percent increase compared to the figure for the corresponding period last year.
According to the Fars News Agency, BIPC has achieved 98 percent of its projected goals.
The Ab-Niroo, Basparan Faravaresh, Kharazmi, and Kimia companies are subsidiaries of BIPC.
BIPC, one of the largest industrial establishments in the Islamic Republic of Iran, is located on the northwest coast of the Persian Gulf, in the oil-rich province of Khuzestan. It produces 7 million tons of 40 types of petrochemicals annually.
Established in 1973, the complex is an affiliate of Iran's state-owned National Petrochemical Company (NPC).
