Bandar-e Mahshahr, Khuzestan prov - First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi inaugurated the Second International Conference on Petrochemical Supplementary Industries in Mahshahr Special Economic Petrochemical Zone in this southwestern province on Tuesday.
The event has been planned within the framework of materialization of objectives of the 20-year Vision Plan and in line with guidelines of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei regarding the promotion of national production and supporting Iranian labor and capital.
Promoting investment in supplementary industries, identifying and introducing enterprise opportunities, planning for qualitative and quantitative development of industries and increasing incentive for relevant institutes to get involved in the field are considered as the other objectives of holding the conference.
Some 200 Iranian and foreign companies are participating in the two-day conference.
Rahimi arrived in the provincial capital city, Ahvaz, this morning to inaugurate several development projects.
