MUSCAT -- International Information Technology Company LLC (IITC) has been declared as the 'Best Web Designer Company' at the Oman Web Awards grand finale, where the winners for the year 2008 were formally announced. Jayakumar Srinivasan, General Manager, IITC, received the award on behalf of the company. "As a leading IT company in Oman, IITC has always been at the forefront of delivering a suite of innovative and user-friendly designs and solutions for its customers. It is a very proud moment for us as we have not only won the prestigious award for the 'Best Web Designer Company' at the Oman Web Awards for the first time, but as many as 17 awards have been picked up by our clients in their respective categories," said Jayakumar.
Meanwhile, one of Sultanate's most popular tourism websites www.destinationoman.com has bagged Bronze in the Travel and Tourism category. The website that was founded in 2001 by Deepak Nair, an Indian entrepreneur and long time resident of the Sultanate, usually shows up right on the first page of all major search engines, like Google and Yahoo, when a search for Oman or Oman travel related categories is fired. The website has all relevant information that a potential tourist to Oman would desire.
