RIYADH, 3 February 2007 -- India's national carrier "Indian" airlines, which recently signed an agreement with Airbus for the purchase of 43 Airbus A320 Aircraft, has announced new fare package in a new move to attract more passengers mainly on India's domestic routes.

The Indian airline, as part of its aggressive expansion plan, also said it will add more frequencies and links on its domestic and international network.

Prince Naser F. Al-Faisal Al-Saud, president and CEO of Naba Tourism & Transport Ltd, said in Riyadh on Thursday that the airline, which has won the distinction of being the most trusted airline in a national survey recently, is offering "very attractive fares for passengers to any destination in India."

The airline is also offering many other new packages to its overseas passengers with added incentives including Smart Super Saver 4 coupons, Super Saver Golden Edge 8 coupons, Discover India Fares, Discover India -7 Days Pass, Wonder India Fares, Special Fares to Southeast Asia with Add-on-Sectors, Senior Citizen Fares and Group Fares.

Indian is one of the largest regional airline systems in Asia with a fleet of 62 aircraft. It earlier introduced the wide-bodied A300 aircraft in the domestic network, the fly-by-wire A320, Domestic Shuttle Service, Walk-in Flights and Flexi-fares.

Mohammed Qaiser, manager for Saudi operation of Indian airlines, said the airline's acquisition of 43 aircraft of the A320 family will allow "Indian" to step up growth and modernization and improve the quality of it's product offerings.

"For the last 12 years in a row, Indian Airline has offline operation in Saudi Arabia through its general service agent Naba Tourism," said Qaiser. He pointed out that "the airline is also studying the possibility of operating direct flights to and from Saudi Arabia with the objective to address the needs of over 1.5 million Indians living in this country."
