A Dubai-based Indian national, E.P. Kunhimohamed, shouted with joy upon learning that he won $1 million in Dubai Duty Free's Millennium Millionaire Draw held yesterday at the Sheikh Rashid Terminal.

Lucky Kunhimohamed bought his winning ticket on April 19 when he traveled to India on emergency leave. He has since returned to Dubai and was speechless when he first heard the news by telephone.

When asked about his plans, Kunhimohamed said: "I would like to share my luck with my less fortunate relatives. Thank you Dubai Duty Free for making my day truly great".

The Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw was conducted by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), along with Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, George Horan, Deputy Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free and Abdulla Al Ansari, Director Human Resources and Development of DCA.

Prior to the Millennium Millionaire draw, an Indian national, Raveendran Porayil, won an Alabaster White Mercedes Benz S500. Mohammed Al Shamsi, a UAE national, won a Midnight Blue Metallic Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe in series 1137 with ticket: 0401, while England-based Paul Thompson won the Glacier White Pearl Harley Davidson motor bike in series 34 with ticket: 0852.

A presentation to previous winners took place after the draw.

Noshaba Aziz, a Pakistani national was delighted to collect her Travertine Beige Mercedes Benz S500 in Series 1142 with ticket: 0860. While Alan Gordon, an American based in Shanghai was thrilled to see his Anodized Aluminum Harley Davidson which he won in series 32 with ticket: 0064.
