DOHA: Indian Property Show Doha opened yesterday at La Cigale Hotel, showcasing properties worth QR10bn by over 50 developers exhibiting over 300 projects and 1,000 properties from across India.
The two-day exhibition was inaugurated by Indian Ambassador Sanjiv Arora along with Sunil Jaiswal, President and CEO of Sumansa Exhibitions, organisers of the Show.
"Many buyers these days want to make use of the pre-launch prices being offered by developers to secure a low entry price point now and to gain higher premiums later. There is an increased demand for such properties, the primary advantage of investing in a pre-launch deal is the price, as the entry point is low and property yields 18-25 percent during project implementation stage itself," said Jaiswal.
Ever since its launch, the Indian Property Show has become a preferred property exhibition for NRI buyers providing a platform for Indian real estate developers to come face to face with the buyers. "Gulf NRIs have always contributed significantly to the Indian economy whether it is remittances or investments in properties," said Santosh Tandel, Regional Head - MENA Region, Indiabulls.
"Overall NRIs make up 25 percent of our business. In addition, NRIs in GCC countries including Qatar are constantly looking for appropriate property investment opportunities both for end use and investment purpose," Tandel said.
Featuring affordable to luxury and from investment to commercial spaces, developers are showcasing apartments, villas, row houses, commercial, retail properties and farm land from cities like Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Kochi. With an expected visitor footfall of about 5000; the property show, which offers fantastic deals and promotions, is open from 10am to 8pm today.
