DOHA: IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar, a worldwide leader in fire safety equipment, supplies and security solutions, will supply essential storage tanks for the Kahramaa Qatar Transmission Phase VIII project.

Carried out in conjunction with Chubb Fire Qatar partner, Galglass Ltd, a producer/installer of state-of-the-art storage tanks, the power sector development is a continuation of Chubb Fire Qatar's commitment to develop Qatar's infrastructure. Chubb Fire Qatar is the exclusive supplier of Galglass Ltd products in Qatar.

The Kahramaa Phase VIII project is meant to expand and upgrade the power network to meet Qatar's rising power demand through the building of power stations and substations. The project, slated for completion next year, will employ the use of Galglass, Ltd tanks and cost over ¤1bn.

Chubb Fire Qatar's work on the project will reach part of the five distinct areas of execution across Qatar including Saliyah and the Industrial Area; Doha City, Wakrah and Mesaieed; Bani Hajr and QF; Al Khissa; and Ras Laffan City Power Evacuation.
