Muscat - The Muscat chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is organising a seminar to analyse Indian budget 2014-15 at Al Falaj Hotel jointly with Modern Exchange on Tuesday at 6pm.
J. S. Mukul, Indian ambassador to the Sultanate, will be the chief guest at the event which will be addressed by G. Padmanabhan, the executive director of Reserve Bank of India and Homi Ranina, tax expert and Supreme Court lawyer, who also is regarded as an authority on Indian tax laws.
"This is a good opportunity for the businesses in Oman to understand the new growth oriented policy initiatives of the newly elected government at New Delhi and get benefited by it," said C. A. Umesh Kumar the chairman of the ICAI Muscat chapter.
"We have invited the executive director of the India's central bank (Reserve Bank of India) to speak on the Indian budget which will surely be useful for the audience and they can get answers from the experts on their queries," stated S. Subramaniam, vice- chairman of the chapter.
Mubeen Khan, the secretary of ICAI Muscat chapter informed that this joint event with Modern Exchange has evoked excellent response and chapter expect more than 300 attendees representing different business sectors in Oman. The event is open to ICAI members who can contact the chapter.
ICAI Muscat Chapter is established in Oman under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS).It is regarded as the most active overseas ICAI chapter.
