MUSCAT -- HSBC Bank Middle East Limited (HSBC) sponsored the second Oman Capital Markets Forum.

The two-day event was organised by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE) in association with Muscat Securities Market and the Capital Markets Authority of Oman. Ever since the Oman capital market first opened to foreign investors in 1996, HSBC has offered sub-custody and clearing services to international and local institutional investors.

Madhur Bhandari, Head of HSBC Oman Securities Services said: "HSBC has a long-term commitment to Oman and the Middle East and plays an active role in the development of the region's markets. Our teams of local experts work closely with a country's market authorities to drive the changes in aligning the market more closely with international standards." The forum presented a platform for HSBC to share innovative ideas and best practices with key industry participants in the Middle East and North Africa region.
