The grape and raisin export consortiums will be established to help the country gain a foothold in the world market and increase competitions among the producers, said the head of Agricultural Jihad Organization of Qazvin province.
Mohammad Reza Safari said on Sunday plans should be outlined to increase the price of Iranian grapes and raisins in the world, IRNA reported.
He added that export of 1,000 to 2,000 tons of grape and raisin will not attract the attention of foreign countries, adding that plans should be sketched out to increase the figure significantly.
Safari went on to say that Raisin Association has been formed in Qazvin province's chamber of commerce, adding the gardening schools and applied and science training centers will be set up in the province to help revive and preserve Takestan's grape farms.
He said based on government's approval during the third round of the cabinet's trip to the province, a grape garden-museum will be established in the region.
He said the grapes cultivated in East Azarbaijan province were previously exported to foreign markets, adding Qazvin province has become a grape exporter since last Iranian year (ended March 19).
