TUNIS (TAP) - A first consultation meeting between the Government and the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) was held on Thursday in Kasbah.
The Prime Ministry said in a statement that the country's interest requires permanent dialogue and consultations between the government and UGTT on outstanding issues.
"The two sides agreed to hold monthly meetings. The next meeting will discuss a set of issues related to economic and social rights, the right to strike, the issue of sub-contracting and agreements signed in some sectors of the public service and the social situation in the economic areas," the Prime Ministry said in a press release.
The government was represented at this meeting by Minister to the Prime Minister Noureddine B'hiri, Minister in charge of Economic Affairs Ridha Saiidi, Minister of Social Affairs Khalil Zaouia, Minister of Public Property and Land Affairs Slim Ben H'midane, Secretary-General of the Government Ridha Abdelhafidh and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister Habib Kchaou.
The UGTT delegation was represented by Noureddine Tabboubi, Belgacem Ayari, Samir Cheffi, Mohamed Mesalmi and Sami Tahri.
