Abu Dhabi, Feb.12th, 2006 (WAM)-- Emirates Link Group, CosmoplastUAE and Trace Services Abu Dhabi formed a Limited Liability Company,LLC, yesterday to produce Geotextile fabrics in AbuDhabi.
The Dh 55 million factory will be built in the Industrial Cityhere next to the Pipe Manufacturing Complex in Mussafah.
The factory will commence production early next year cateringfor polypropylene non-woven fabrics of various thickness.
The planned annual production capacity of the new factory is8,000 tonnes of extruded polypropelene and polyester fibers.
Production of polypropelene non-woven fabrics in various thicknesswill start in the first quarter of 2007.
Non-woven textiles are used for road construction, soil stabilization,pipe lining and many other applications.
This production line is the first of it's kind in the UAE.
