Dubai Logistics, warehousing and distribution firm Gazeley recently launched earthworks on a 26-acre site in Kassel, Germany, for a 47,100-square-metre project.

The firm, which is based in Jebel Ali as part of Economic Zones World, part of the Dubai World Group, has started the project at Magna Park Kassel, where Gazeley has already provided a total of 135,000 square metres of logistics and distribution space for renowned customers such as Volkswagen and Zufall Logistics Group.

The new warehouse will be developed for a leading international manufacturer of solar components and is scheduled for completion by the end of this year. It will include various green elements and aims to achieve the silver ranking of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).

“We are very pleased to have secured this long-term lease agreement which now enables us to develop the largest individual warehouse at Magna Park Kassel,” said Ingo Steves, Country Director, Gazeley Germany.

Magna Park Kassel provides easy access to the A7 motorway, one of the most important North-South motorways of Germany, and is linked to the East-West motorway A 44.
