AMMAN (JT) - Over 120 corporate governance (CG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) experts will convene in Amman from Sunday to Tuesday to discuss ways to improve the implementation of CG and CSR in Jordan and the region. The Third Corporate Governance and Responsibility Forum will highlight case studies from the region on the implementation of CG and feature workshops on utilising it to achieve sustainability, according to organisers. "Over the past six months, the Arab Spring has made companies in the region realise that they have to actively contribute to society, making corporate governance and social responsibility a priority for them now more than ever," Maali Qasem, CG and CSR adviser and chief executive officer of Schema, the forum's organiser, told The Jordan Times on Thursday.
