Doha: A sizzling season of events awaits guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, over Christmas and New Year. The hotel is filled with the scents of fruit, nuts, candles and delectable cookies. Children of all ages will love our walk-through gingerbread house, and our chefs have pulled out all stops to weave a little Ritz-Carlton culinary magic into our Christmas cheer.
The songs of carol singers make way for the revels of New Year's Eve, and a glittering gala affair in Al Wosail Ballroom is the centerpiece. After a six-course banquet, guests will dance the night away to the show band. One may prefer a cozy dinner in one of the restaurants, or to hit the dance floor in Admiral's Club for a trendy countdown.
December 6 to 31: Christmas goodies and Christmas Hampers from La Dolce Vita gourmet shop. As the children play in the gingerbread house, Mums and Dads can choose from an extensive range of specially created Christmas goodies to take away; ideal for decorating your festive table or as gifts for friends.
December 17 to 31: Turkey to go from La Dolce Vita! Too busy to cook? Call La Dolce Vita and order a Turkey to Go, complete with all the trimmings such as stuffing, cranberry sauce and giblet gravy. To order, please call La Dolce Vita! 24 hours in advance
December 18: Lighting of the Christmas tree at 5:30 pm. Pyramids of pine cones, apples and festive candles fill the Lobby with the scent of Christmas, and welcoming garlands, lights and ribbons adorn the fountain, a magical scene for the lighting of our Christmas tree. Timeless hospitality blends old and new as the Ladies and Gentlemen from The Ritz-Carlton, Doha regale you with Christmas carols. Non-alcoholic refreshments are offered courtesy of the hotel, together with sweets and candies for the children, as Santa Claus oversees the proceedings.
December 20: Gingerbread house inauguration at 6pm with Christmas carols sung by The Ritz-Carlton, Doha Ladies and Gentlemen (the Gingerbread House will be open everyday from 9am to 11pm at La Dolce Vita!).
December 20 to 25: Santa Claus is at the gingerbread house to welcome children from 5pm to 7 pm.
December 21: Kids Teddy Bear tea party with Santa where children will enjoy special treats, lots of traditional goodies such as sandwiches, candies and cookies, all washed down with yummy hot chocolate...just what Teddy Bears love to drink at Christmas. Santa Claus will be along to join the fun and find out what special presents children would really like for Christmas whilst mums and dads can enjoy a Christmas-themed afternoon tea while their youngsters are having a ho-ho-ho- so jolly time singing Christmas carols and playing games. From 4.30pm, in The Lobby Lounge at QR 85 ++ (adults) and children charged 50%.

The Lagoon Restaurant: Ideal for a seasonal get-together, an extensive buffet showcases the best international skills of our chefs. Champagne, live entertainment, party amenities and a countdown on the terrace make for a fun-filled last night of the year at QR 340 ++ per person.
La Mer: La Mer plays host to a quieter celebratory evening as diners are treated to a six-course gourmet menu in The Ritz-Carlton, Doha signature restaurant with moonlit views over the sparkling waters, set against a background of romantic music from our pianist at QR 545 ++ per person.
Porcini: Lovers of Italian cuisine will enjoy the classic menu offered in Porcini. Our Italian chefs have pulled out all the stops to create a 6-course celebratory menu. Our resident harpist accompanies at QR 485 ++ per person.
Habanos: Cool leather and crystal chandeliers are the classic backdrop in Habanos. Ring in the New Year with a taste of Havana: live music from the hotel's Cuban band, Son a la Roca, will have guests' feet tapping until it's 2006 no more at QR 95 ++ per person.
Admiral's Club: Overlooking the crystal waters of the hotel's marina, Admiral's Club will rock with a party atmosphere and the latest sounds from the resident DJ, as revelers gather to celebrate the demise of 2006. Entrance fee of QR 175 ++ per person.
