Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, witnessed the signing of a protocol of cooperation between the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) and the Federation of Egyptian Banks (FEB) regarding the rules regulating banks joining the electronic invoice system.

The protocol was signed by the ETA's Chairman, Reda Abdel Kader, and the FEB's Chairman, Mohamed El-Etreby, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement on Wednesday.

The new regulations will facilitate the process of joining the e-invoice system while maintaining the confidentiality of customer information, El-Etreby pointed out.
