KUWAIT -- Kuwait's Petrochemical Industries (Equate) is participating in the conference and exhibition of Middle East Petrotech 2010 that is currently held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, head of the contact team in the Petrochemical Industries Dawood Al-Omairi said here Tuesday.

Al-Omairi added that this conference which is attended by major regional and global firms is held under the theme of "Downstream Challenges: Financing, Market Changes and Technology".

He went on to say that this conference which was inaugurated on May 23, 2010 and will be closed tomorrow is held under the patronage of Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and its opening ceremony was attended by a big number of guests from many world countries.

He also said that the delegation representing Equate is led by the company's deputy CEO for planning and the conference committee's member Anwar bin Salama and comprises a number of leading figures, engineers, public relations and information officers.

He added that Equate participates in this conference and its activites because it is one of the important events specializing in the field of oil refinery and natural gas and petrochemical industries in the Middle East.

He concluded by saying that this is a good opportunity for displaying the company's achievements in this field and exchanging notions and getting acquainted with the state-of-the-art trends on oil and gas sector.
