Abu Dhabi, Aug. 15, 2005 (WAM)--The Emirates Securities Market Index has decreased by 0.31% to close at 6,379.72 points .
A total of 65.86 Million shares were traded with a total value of 1.00 Billion AED during the trading session of Monday 15 August 2005 through 6,911 transactions.The Insurance sector has increased by 0.03% , followed by the Services sector that decreased by 0.14% , followed by the Banks sector that decreased by 0.41% , followed by the Industries sector that decreased by 1.35%.
The number of companies which has been traded is 46 out of 74 companies listed in the market. Shares for 15 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 27 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
?Emaar Properties? came at the top of the most active companies with a tradevalue of 0.40 Billion AED distributed over 18.49 Million shares through 1,741 transactions.?Amlak Finance Company? shares followed by 0.19 Billion AED distributed over 18.86 Million shares through 1,556 transactions.
?Commercial Bank International? shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at 9.95 AED with 9.82% increase during 53,000 shares traded with a trade value of 0.53 Million AED. Whereas ?BILDCO? shares Increased by 8.70% to close at 6.87 AED during the trading of 1.55 Million shares traded value of 10.62 Million AED.
?Sharjah Cement? has achieved the lowest decline by 9.95% to close at 9.59 AED during 2,000 shares traded with a trade value of 19,180 AED. Followed by ?Umm Al Qaiwain Cement? which dropped by 7.27% to close at 6.12 AED during the trading of 24,600 shares traded value of 0.15 Million AED.
Since the beginning of the year, the percentage growth of the Emirates Securities index is 96.2%, with a total accumulation trade value of 271.08 Billion AED. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 52 out of the 74 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 13 companies.
The Services sector index has the lead over the other indices, with a growth of 130.33% since the end of last year to settle at 6,216 points.Whereas, the Insurance sector indices has grown by 82.49% to close at 4,898 points.Followed by the Banks sector index with percentage of 76.67% to settle at 6,250 points.Followed by the Industries sector index with percentage of 11.97% to settle at 1,120 points.
