Emaar Properties has launched phase two of its Gazelle luxury townhouse community at Arabian Ranches - the equestrian and golf-themed development. Phase two comprises 338 Arab-style townhouses.

The company is forecasting a repeat of the heavy demand generated by the first phase, which sold all of its 474 units. Construction for the new phase is underway and the homes are expected to be ready for occupation by early 2006.

"The launch of the second phase of Gazelle demonstrates our commitment to providing quality value within what is easily Dubai's most prestigious desert development," said Ali bin Saif Bunawas, sales manager, Arabian Ranches.

"What we have done with the project is to make it attractive for those seeking top-class, international standard equestrian and golfing pursuits, coupled with a residential component."

Gazelle offers eight types of two-storey terraced villas situated in landscaped parks and gardens. The villas vary from three to four bedrooms and range from 1,691 to 3,060 square feet in area.

Every home comes with parking for two cars and residents will have use of a community centre with walking and cycling paths near the water's edge.

"In a short period of time, Emaar has been able to transform a stretch of desert into what is poised to be one of Dubai's prime lifestyle destinations," he said.

"At the rate Dubai has been growing recently, projects, such as the Arabian Ranches fit perfectly into the city's wider master plan."
